Pricing

How does it work when the price of my Mum’s Getaway Package is based on twin/double occupancy but myself and the girlfriend I am going away with will be purchasing our packages separately and perhaps at different times?
It is unlikely both you and your girlfriend will be ordering and paying for your Mum’s Getaway Package at the same time, especially if one or both of you receive it as a gift. You simply fill in the name of your travelling companion on the appropriate line on your Order Form when purchasing, so we can link the two of you up. As soon as both of you have filled out your Order Forms and paid, you can go ahead and book your Mum’s Getaway for the dates that best suit both of you.

Booking

Do I have to book my Mum’s Getaway package at the same time it is purchased?
Although you are able to book as soon as payment for your order has been processed, you certainly don’t have to. Sometimes our Mums receive their Mum’s Getaway package as a gift and the giver isn’t sure when she can get away, hence a time lag between purchase and booking. You will receive your Gift Box shortly after purchase, containing a Gift Certificate describing everything that is included in your package. You have up to 6 months from the purchase date to book your package.
What if I am booking at the same time as purchasing the Mum’s Getaway package?
You will skip the step of receiving the Gift Certificate and a Booking Confirmation Certificate will be included in your Gift Box instead.
How long does it take to get my booking confirmed once I make it and how am I notified that it has been confirmed?
As soon as you submit your Booking Request Form online, it is emailed to Mum’s Getaway. You will receive an email confirming (or declining) your booking request .This email will be followed up by a Booking Confirmation Certificate posted to you which replaces the Gift Certificate you received with your Gift Box.
What if the accommodation is unavailable for booking on the dates I am able to go?
We suggest you provide us with a couple of possible dates on your Booking Request Form. If the accommodation is unavailable on all your desired dates we can determine which other accommodation is available for that time and make a recommendation based on your specific requirements. However, if you have tried all the dates and destinations without any luck, we will most certainly refund your money, less the value of the Gift Box.

Gift Box

When will I receive my Gift Box?
Your Gift Box will be sent to you as soon as payment is processed for your Mum’s Getaway Package. It is delivered via courier to the address specified on your Order Form and should arrive within a few days of purchase.

Cancellation/Alteration

What do I do if I need to change or cancel an existing booking?
Each accommodation property has its own particular Cancellation Policy, of which Mum's Getaway abides by. Email any change or alteration of your booking to change@mumsgetaway.com.au as soon as possible and we will contact the accommodation property for you. Please be aware that each accommodation property has its own particular Cancellation Policy, which Mum’s Getaway abides by. Assuming the accommodation property refunds Mum's Getaway with the cost of your package, we will refund all money paid by you less an administration fee of $25 per person. There is no fee if you change to another date. If you have already received your Gift Box and cancel, the retail value of the Gift Box will also be deducted from the money to be refunded to you.

The Cancellation Policy for the specific accommodation property you are booking is printed at the bottom of the Booking Confirmation Certificate and we suggest you make yourself familiar with it.

Privacy

Will the personal information I provide on my Order Form and Booking Request Form be kept private?
Mum’s Getaway respects the privacy of our Mums and their families. We only disclose the minimum amount of information to book packages with the property of your choice and to the people who deliver the Gift Box. We do not sell, rent or trade information to any third parties. Please see our Privacy and Security Policy on this website.
